What You Need to Build a Website
What You Need to Build a Website
1) Domain Name
The domain name creates the address of your site. So, mywebsite.com would be an example of a domain name.
2) Web Host
A website cannot exist without a web host. This is the company that houses your files and provides the environment for you to create and save pages to the Internet.
Web hosts are usually paid for monthly (some are yearly).
3) Web Building Software (Optional)
Some web hosts provide website building tools so you do not need any additional software. It's important you find out about this before you sign up with any host.
Other Website Features
Want a gaming site? Looking to create a message forum or chat room for your visitors to communicate? Maybe you want an online guestbook where people can leave you messages on your site.
This is where it gets a little tricky but don't let it discourage you. As the Internet matures, it's getting easier and easier to setup these kinds of things on a website.
Any kind of user interactive feature on a website requires some kind of script. A script is nothing but a file that contains a bunch of code that tells the browser how to behave.
Depending on what you want to create for your site, you'll need to go to your favorite search site (Google, for example) and search for the appropriate script (game script, message board script, etc.) Some are free, some are not-so-free.

Internet Money Making Scams
Internet Money Making Scams
It's unfortunate that the numerous Internet money making scams out here make it difficult for people like myself who are trying to show people the right ways of making money online.
I have actually been fortunate enough to find success on the Internet and no, I didn't lose my shirt or go into debt doing it.
Stick with me throughout this article. After I address some of these Internet scams that make my blood boil, I'll show you how to legitimately achieve financial freedom online like I have.
The beauty of the Internet is that you can make a truckload of money out here. Yes, you really could quit your full time job if you work hard.
The bad news is most people either don't want to work at it, or they buy into some scam that causes them to waste money they could have used to invest in a real, legitimate venture.
Get Paid To Surf / Internet Survey Scams
I see these darn programs advertised everywhere. Heck my mom even tried one a while back! She gave up after about 3 days.
It sounds easy right? All you have to do is surf the web, fill out some surveys, answer some emails and they'll send you a check every month.
It's never that simple. If it was, we'd all be quitting our 9 to 5 jobs to sign up for these kinds of Internet ventures.
Most of these "pay to surf" programs want you to pay money upfront. This is how they make their bread and butter.
And don't be fooled by the money-back guarantee they offer because usually in order to get your money back you have to sign up with a certain number of companies and perform various tasks before you even qualify for the refund.
They realize most people aren't going to go through all the hassle just to get their money back so they give up. Cha-ching! Another person suckered.
You may also come across some companies boasting their programs are free. I would still beware. There is always a catch. In most cases, they make it so difficult to earn enough credits to get paid, most people quit. And even though entry is free, you may still have to pay a third party down the line as you start completing the surveys hosted by other companies.
As I said...There's always a catch!
I'm not saying you can't make money from some of these programs, but I would highly recommend you do some thorough research and ask a lot of questions before joining any of them. The ones I've seen thus far have all been purely bogus and a complete rip-off!

Welcome to Venezuela
Amateur and international competitionApproximate number of Venezuelans playing organized baseball: Unable to quantify. Amateur highlights: Won the Little League World Series in 1994 and in 2000. Venezuela has won two (professional) Caribbean Series titles. Biggest international rival: Dominican Republic (mainly in Caribbean Series).Other important notes: Venezuelans, like Dominicans, can be signed by MLB teams at age 16. The Venezuela Summer League is similar to the Dominican Summer League where players begin participating from 16 years. Unlike in the Dominican, however, not every MLB club has an academy, and there are often "co-op" teams in the league. For example, in the past the Los Angeles Dodgers have been able to put 10 players on a "co-op" team they share in San Joaquin. Little Leaguers in Venezuela start at age 7.

Venezuela, Puerto Rico Win in Baseball Classic Round Two
Venezuela, Puerto Rico Win in Baseball Classic Round Two
Miami15 March 2009
Puerto Rico and Venezuela scored crucial victories in the second round of play in the World Baseball Classic in Miami, Florida. The losers, the Netherlands and the United States, now face each other for a final chance at staying in the tournament.
Puerto Rican baseball fans clang on musical instruments at the start of a game between US and Puerto Rico during the second round of the World Baseball Classic game in Miami, 14 Mar 2009 Saturday evening's game in Miami between Puerto Rico and the United States featured two of the most star-filled teams in the international tournament. Major League Baseball is organizing the games to showcase the league's talent and raise its profile around the world. In the Puerto Rico / U.S. match, Puerto Rico's hitters took apart U.S. pitcher Jake Peavey from the start, scoring six runs in the first two innings on the way to an 11-1 victory. Fans saw examples of major league hitting talent, as the teams combined for 19 hits and two home runs. Puerto Rico was overwhelming, however, as three of the first four batters got on base, leading to an early two-run lead.Puerto Rico manager Jose Oquendo said his strategy was to take the offensive early. "We were trying to send the message that we had to be aggressive with the team. And the guys ran the bases the way they are supposed to be run," said Oquendo. "So it was exciting for us, it was a great game for the guys."The loss is a setback for the United States, which was eliminated in the second round in the Baseball Classic held in 2006. It was an added disappointment because officials ended the game early, after Puerto Rico increased its lead to 10 runs by the seventh inning.Catcher Brian McCann said the so-called "mercy rule" decision made the loss harder."It is tough, but it is part of the game and these rules. You have to tip your hat to these [Puerto Rico] guys, they came out, swung the bats, pitOquendo ched great and played great defense," said McCann. With the win, Puerto Rico remains undefeated in the tournament.Earlier, Venezuelan batters were held to three hits, but made them count in a 3-1 victory over the Netherlands. Miguel Cabrera and Jose Lopez hit solo home runs, and Melvin Mora batted in an early run on a ground out.Venezuelan starting pitcher Carlos Silva frustrated Dutch hitters for seven innings. He threw four strikeouts while giving up four hits, allowing team Netherlands only one run. The Netherlands stuck to its winning formula of solid pitching and error-free defense, which helped it knock out powerhouse Dominican Republic in the first round. Still it was no match for Venezuela's roster of superstar hitters. Venezuela also got a boost from the huge turnout of Venezuelan fans in Miami, which is home to many Latin American immigrants. Venezeula plays Puerto Rico on Monday for a chance to advance to the semifinals in Los Angeles. The Netherlands and the United States face each other on Sunday for a final shot at remaining in the tournament.
